Challenging Times, Necessary Measures

Like many other organizations in the industry, Detroit Labs was struggling to compete for talent during what became known as the Great Resignation of 2021. In response to business needs and goals and in support of the talent specialist team, I crafted a Recruitment Marketing Strategy for the year. The goal of the strategy was to build an email community of qualified candidates that can be tapped into when high priority Detroit Labs job opportunities become available.

Key Results

  • An email list of over 700 qualified candidates within first year of strategy.
  • Consistent over-average email open rate.
  • Qualified candidates converted on applications and a total of 5 were hired from these marketing efforts.
  • Talent Specialist team self-reported over 50% of candidates felt encouraged to apply after seeing the Detroit labs social media accounts.
